[活動紀錄] 除夕圍爐及春節花車遊行活動預告

Dear ROCSAers,

農曆新年轉眼間就要到了!! 今年ROCSA將舉行除夕圍爐及新年遊行的活動。
希望同學們踴躍參與，一起迎接虎年到來。

除夕圍爐

除夕圍爐活動ROCSA將與芝加哥大學台灣學生會聯合舉辦！我們準備各式小獎品，席間也有趣味遊戲及有獎徵答的活動與各位同歡。
如果大家有朋友想參加這次除夕圍爐的活動亦非常歡迎，但同樣需繳費後才算報名成功，感謝大家的配合。

日期：2010年2月13日 星期六

時間：晚上六點半入場，七點正式開始　(請準時入席）

地點：中國城的大三元 Triple Crown (2217 S Wentworth Ave　Chicago, IL 60616)

費用及報名方式：本活動需事先繳費才能參加。ROCSA會員一人25元，非會員一人30元（含餐錢，酒水飲料，稅及小費）。
費用可繳給Jessica, Grace或Michael，於2/10(三)前完成報名繳費，並在Facebook上完成RSVP(稍晚將發出通知)。逾期繳款者ROCSA不提供補助。


新年遊行

日期：2010年2月14日 星期日

時間：下午一點開始，預計兩點半結束。

地點：中國城　South End of Chinatown（大概是2411 S. Wentworth Ave. Chicago, IL 60616的位置）

2/14(日)大年初一下午在Chinatown將有由芝加哥市政府主辦年度春節花車遊行。這次遊行活動規模盛大，美國中西部的眾台灣同學會及各社團將一同齊聚芝加哥中國城，對想認識其他各校台灣留學生的同學而言，是個校際交流的好機會，當天在中國城也有許多其他新年相關的慶祝活動。ROCSA非常鼓勵大家熱情參與這次的遊行，一起迎接虎虎生風的虎年！

由於本次遊行將會提供餐點，請大家在2/7(日)前回此信告知是否出席即可，以方便餐點的訂購。另外，如果有人手邊有中華民國的國旗，不管大的小的，都麻煩大家幫忙出借一下，有的話也請回信告訴我們，非常感謝大家！

以上活動，ROCSA竭誠邀請大家一起來參加，請用行動支持ROCSA！

PS. 往後為方便統計活動報名人數，將請大家在Facebook上RSVP，所以還沒加入ROCSA群組的同學趕快加入，若有問題可以來信詢問。

Annual Chinese New Year Show -- Celebrasia

Dear ROCSA members,

TASC/CSA ( the undergraduate Chinese Students Association) are hosting the annual Chinese New Year Show -- Celebrasia. The show is on Jan 31, Saturday at 7 PM. You all are welcome to come and enjoy the Celebraisa with TASC/CSA members.

Our show includes performance from student groups and professional groups. It will be very entertaining! Free food after the show as well!!!

Celebrasia
What: Celebrating Chinese new year "Under" style
When: 2/9 (Sat) @ 7pm
Where: Ryan Auditorium (tech building)

What: ITASA stands for Intercollegiate Taiwanese American Student Association, basically, for a weekend, you'll get to meet other Taiwanese Americans from schools in the vicinity and attend workshops to learn more about Asians in the society (especially in the US) and their industries, and whanot. For those of you who's never been to one of these, it's a great networking event and you'll meet tons of people and most importantly, have fun.
When: 4/4 - 4/6 (Friday - Sunday) starting at 8am for registration
Where: Evanston campus (mainly in Norris Center)
Damage: $30/person
This event is VERY VERY fun!! Great for meeting new people!!

在此要跟大家致歉。舉辦此次活動前並未告知要自備交通工具，造成許多人的不便，學生會在此向大家道歉。未來將會多加注意。

First, thanks to everyone who came to the hotpot dinner for the new Rat year! For those who did not get the red envelopes, don't be discouraged! Best of luck this year. For those who got the envelopes, hopefully you'll have the same luck every year!

Here, we would like to apologize for not informing you that you needed to find your own transportation, causing many's inconvenience. ROCSA apologizes for this confusion, we'll be sure to make it clearer in the future.

Once again, ROCSA would like to wish everyone a very happy Rat year! Doesn't matter if you attended the hotpot dinner or not, ROCSA will always care about you and hope that you will feel the warmth of family even though you're so far away from home.

CHINESE NEW YEAR SHOW

Want to experience all the festivities for celebrating the new year across Asia? Want to interact with the Chinese comrades? Why not join the Chinese New Year Show?

• Event: Performances include martial arts, fashion show, peacock dance, just to name a few. Many well-known speakers will also be in attendance

• Location: Northwesten University Tech Building Auditorium
• Fee: $3 entrance fee

* Looking for all students with a special talent they would like to share!! If you have a voice like Jay Chou, can shake it like Jolin Tsai or have incredible talent like the irresistable Wang Leehom, then you shouldn't miss the chance to share your talent! Besides this, if you can turn magic tricks or play the piano, please contact us and let us know!

舊的一年即將結束，迎接鼠年的到來，在歲末年終的此刻，芝加哥的氣溫即將驟降，不如來參加暖呼呼的學生會除夕圍爐活動吧！

• 時間：2/1(週五) 晚間六點半
• 地點：老四川麻辣火鍋店吃到飽 (2172A S. Archer Ave., Chicago, IL 60616)
• 費用：學生會會員一人15塊；非會員或是會員家眷一人20塊

有鑑於人數統計困難，因此本次活動採預先收費，還請大家多多見諒

• 報名截止日：1/18(週五)前
• 繳費截止日：1/25(週五)前，非芝加哥校區同學可以支票到1915 Maple Ave, apt#815, Evanston, IL 60201，支票抬頭Yu-chieh Mai
  

附註：老四川吃到飽外加飲料小費和稅，一人為30塊美金左右。舉辦圍爐活動，就是希望大家在異鄉也能有家鄉味，因此，學生會補助一半經費，經過計算後，一人為15塊。

As we welcome the new "Rat" year, and as Chicago's weather becomes increasingly colder, come join the rest of the ROCSA members for a warm and fun hotpot dinner!

• Location: Old Sichuan All-you-can-eat Hotpot (2172A S. Archer Ave., Chicago, IL 60616)
• Fee: ROCSA member - $15; Non-member - $20
  (Due to reservation purposes, we need to collect fees before this event. Thank you for your understanding.)

• Registration deadline: prior to 1/18 (Friday)
• Payment deadline: prior to 1/25 (Friday); Chicago campus students can mail their checks to Yu-Chieh Mai(1915 Maple Ave., Apt. 815, Evanston, IL 60201)

*Note: Old Sichuan charges $30/person including drinks, taxes and tips. ROCSA is sponsoring half of this amount, so the members only have to pay $15 (non-members $20). The main purpose of the event is to make everyone feel right at home during this time.
